Mandarin learning for a young Cantonese speaker

Hi again,

So we are a French HK Chinese family : we speak both French and Cantonese at home. Also some occitan that I wanted to have somewhere in our family environment.
Now I am looking at starting to teach my children (especially the elder one 8 yo) foreign languages. We are homeschoolers and what I am looking for is fun material with progressive knowledge acquisition to get in touch with foreign languages while they are still young.

For English, I found Gogo's adventures with English that they love. It is exactly the right thing for my son.

For Mandarin, I tried to look for something equivalent - I mean same style - but I did not find anything satisfying. The style of Dinolingo would be ok but it is defintiely for smaller children. Sesame St : I don't think it will be as fun as Gogo for my son (I will try anyway if nothing else) and there are so many new words within a few minutes. I liked the rythm of Gogo for a start.

In other words, I wanted to ask you whether you some advice to learn Mandarin for a 8 yo Cantonese speaking boy who is already accustomed to ready basic written Chinese ?

No charge online material would be great but I can consider to buy a method. It is just that up to now, the methods I found were not satisfying at all. he needs fun and attractive material.

tks for your input
