I know " to will" something is to somehow using magical power to mentally make something to become true, but normal English speakers don't talk like that. whenever we see "I will", we typically expect a verb to follow, if you want to use "will " as a verb, then "what I want" is incomplete, it would make sense to add "to come true" after.

and yes, I do feel the original phrase is very corny if it was not wrongly leaving out a verb, making "Will" as a verb doesn't change that.

another verb for "to will" is to instruct somerhing to be pass to someone after one died, but that's making even less sense in this phrase
