So I'm leafing through my copy of 普通話廣東話用法對比詞典 and I find the entry about lying. The book says that you can use 安 in Cantonese to mean "make up". The example phrase it "呢件事係佢安嘅". It's compared to Mandarin 捏造. This usage is not listed in the CantoDict character page. Is it still used? I can't say I've heard it; maybe it's mostly a mainland thing?
This word is used in the phrase 生安白造, which is listed in CantoDict. Here it has the pronunciation "ngon1", which I suggest should be changed to "on1" unless the 'ng' initial is historically motivated in this case (in which case the 安 character page should list both readings).
