Hey all,
Although I primarily learn Mandarin (listening, spoken & reading) for most of the time, I do dabble on/off with Cantonese on a passive basis over the years by watching & listening to Cantonese TV & radio .
But, I still have problems getting the hang of colloquial cantonese.
I can follow what's going on with MSC subtitles but take it off and I'm in trouble.
There are too many slangs & big divergence between MSC & spoken vocabulary.
I was wondering you learners coped with this?
The extent of my cantonese listening skills is limited to the level exhibited by this video (as a sample representation)
